Whats the diffrence from a prim and composite number?and who knows what G.C.F. means in math?
Greatest common factor is the largest multiple common to a group of numbers. The GCF of 24, 30, and 36 is 6 for example since it is the largest multiple common to all three.

A composite number can be broken down into factors, other than itself and one. For example, 12 = 2 x 6 = 3 x 4 = 12 x 1.

A prime number has only one and itself as factors. For example, 11 = 1 x 11.
Reply:Prime number: No other numbers will "go into" it evenly. Numbers like 3, 5, 7, 11, and 13 are prime.

Composite number: Can be divided into equal parts, or have "factors" other than 1 and itself. Numbers like 4 (2 x 2), 12 (2 x 6, 3 x 4), 15 (3 x 5), and 20 (2 x 10, 4 x 5) are composite.

GCF means "greatest common factor"-- the biggest number that will go into both numbers that you are comparing. The GCF of 6 and 8 is 2, the GCF of 9 and 12 is 3, and the GCF of 30 and 45 is 15.
Reply:greatest common factor prime is a number that cont be factored composite could be factored
