If i got a C in one semester of pre-calculus, but all my other math grades are A's, am I ok for UCLA and UCI?

I have a "UC" GPA of 4.3 (10thgrade-11th grade) I got the C in the second semester of my junior year. I know they look for other things like test scores and extracurriculars, but I am just worried about the GPA part. I am planning to take a college calculus course at a community college and sending in the grade to show that the "C" was a fluke.

One semester of C is unlikely to derail your UC application, but do take Calculus at your community college to prove your math skills. You'll be fine.
Reply:It shouldn't deter you that much. Definitely do well in the college calculus course. And if you can manage to go to an actual university during a summer or extension to take a calculus course, that'd be more impressive and you can transfer that anyways. You can maybe consider explaining that C in a short essay for one of the questions.
Reply:It is always a good idea to take college courses while in high school. You will be just fine....
