Will a "C" in math affect my dreams of getting into harvard?

I'm a freshman.

I have a C average =(

Algebra 2.....honors.....

Will a "C" in math affect my dreams of getting into harvard?
Not necessarily. Admissions officers might forgive mediocre grades freshman year, but you'll really have to shine from here on out. It also helps to do something really outstanding, like win a major academic prize, or be state champ in a sport, or produce your own play. Having exceptional standardized test scores helps, too. And don't forget that Harvard likes to have students from all over the country, so it might help if you live in a place that doesn't send a lot of people to Harvard, e.g Idaho or North Dakota or Mississippi.
Reply:Yes. Harvard wants ALL A's. but... harvard is mainly for law. You into law?
Reply:As long as your parents are millionaires like George W. Bush's parents then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If your parents aren't rich then you can always get a job at McDonald's.
Reply:well it depends on the academic rigor of your school, as long as you improve over the next three school years it should be OK, but Harvard because of it reputation can be more selective than other institutions so just hope you get amazing SAT scores and have As in all your other classes. The admissions counselors will take in to consideration the fact that you took an honors course but if you are not at a well renowned college preparatory school they most likely will not be so forgiving.
Reply:if u get good grades like straight A's this semister u can probablly
Reply:no way, pres. bush was a c average. I think he got into the business school at harvard. Then again, business isn't really that difficult. Then again, I never been in business school.
Reply:maybe a state school would b a better idea

Reply:yeah
Reply:I don't think so. So long as u try hard 2 get ur grades up, u will be fine. What do u plan 2 go 2 Harvard 4? That's what u have 2 keep in mind throughout high school.
Reply:It was a mistake taking Algebra 2 Honors as a freshmen, but as long as you improve over the next three years, and get As in everything senior year, you should be okay.
