Math problem: c= 6t + 8/t solve for t?

if you multiply by t 2 both sides i came up w3ith t= 14/c answer was wrong. can u help?

Math problem: c= 6t + 8/t solve for t?
Multiply everything by t

c(t) = 6t(t) + (8/t)(t)

ct = 6t^2 + 8

Subtract ct from each side

0 = 6t^2 - ct + 8

Now use the quadratic formula.

Let a = 6, b = -c and c = 8
Reply:c= 6t + 8/t

Do it step by step. It will help.

c= 6t^2 + 8

-----------

t

ct= 6t^2 + 8

0= 6t^2 - ct + 8

Then just factorize.

Note: the reason why your answer is wrong, is because you are trying to make X the subject. They asked you to evaluate here, not just make X the subject.
