I have taken:
Algebra 1-2
Geometry 1-2
Applied Geometry and Statistics (1 semester)
Algebra 3 (1 semester)
Can this cover the three years or does it have to be a year of the same course (my counselor is new and didn't help much)
Do I meet the U.C. minium 3 year math requirement?
Call the admissions office at any of the UC campuses. Ask to speak to a pre-baccalaureate ("ba-ka-law-re-it") advisor if they have one. Call more than one of them if you have to. They get paid no matter what so bug them.
Reply:Just looking at that you know it's over three years.
As long as you passed them, I'm sure it's valid for the 3 year requirement.

If you bubble in all c's in the Math Section of the ACT test only, what would your score for the math section
what would the score be? I don't plan on doing that and that, I'm just curious..im a nerd
If you bubble in all c's in the Math Section of the ACT test only, what would your score for the math section
Every choice is equally likely if you can't eliminate any answers, anyone who says different is just trying to keep you from wasting as much time guessing (sorry for spoiling it for you). If you pick the same answer for all of them you will get almost exactly 25% if there are 4 choices and 20% if there are 5. If the test deducts 1/4 or 1/5 points for wrong answers you will get 0%. You can't "get lucky" since the people who design the test don't allow there to be much more of any answer vs. another.
I know I sound like an annoying teacher, but go through and do the easy ones then go back and do the hard ones. If you have like no time left and you can eliminate at least one wrong answer on each just guess. If you are smart and finish early, but you can't leave early, mentally check every question while covering up your old answer. This will help you find any stupid mistakes and can make the difference between a perfect score and a really close score because of a few questions wrong that you know how to do right.
Reply:trust me you will most likely fail. take my advise and study.
Reply:well its a possibleity that you can get them all wrong or all right
buut most likely its gonna be like a 25% average right
idk
a lot of math tests have c's as their answers but if ur lucky then you get a perfect score
Reply:you can get a perfect score....if you got REALLY LUCKY!!
Reply:I'd say 20-25% although "C" is supposed to be the answer three out of 4 times. Don't count on it.

I have a C average in my math class and my guidance counselor wants to drop me from A level to B level what do
I do! I can't and won't take B level! :(
I have a C average in my math class and my guidance counselor wants to drop me from A level to B level what do
Hey thats awesome!!!!!! A C is a decent grade so don't worry, If you want to do better just work a lil harder! Schools almost over!!!!!! Dont give up! We are so freakin close! Just work hard for the last part. I know Its hard to put party time on pause but dont worry, you can party all summer! So just give it your all and ingore your counsler, I know you can do it! I suck at math so dont feel bad! Heres something that will turn that frown upside down, or make you hate me. lol Im hoping the first one! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=...

but talk to your teacher. he or she probably knows you your ability better.
Reply:It sounds like you want reassurance that you are making the right decision by staying in A level. Sorry, but you aren't gonna get any reassurances here.
I believe that everyone can succeed, it's just a matter of how hard you apply yourself. If you crack down and focus, if you pay attention and do homework, if you ask for help from friends, smart kids, parents, and the teacher- you CAN succeed in math A.
If you aren't willing to put in the work, then you probably should drop down. It would save your GPA, and it would clear up more time for you to focus on stuff that matters to you.
I dropped from my school's advanced track to the regular track this past year, and it ended up being the smartest thing I ever did.
Reply:I HERE YA.I USE 2 HAVE AN F.BUT AFTER I TURNED IN MISSING THINGS AND TOOK A LOT OF NOTES AND PAYED SUPPER ATTENTION IN CLASS I GOT THAT F UP TO AN A+
Reply:Hmmm.......! I would suggest work and study harder!!!^-^!
Reply:Although I have proved my high school counselors wrong on many things, you're probably better off dropping down to B level.
I have been in a similar situation earlier this year. I eventually made the choice to go from advanced math to an easier version of the same class, and I'm actually better off now because I made that choice.
If you're afraid of what colleges will think, they'd rather see a slightly easier class with better grades than struggling through a harder class.

In c++ is there a math symbol that would be like one number to through another like 1 through 14?
like 1 - 14 in an if statement
if(answer=="1-14");
{
blah
}
In c++ is there a math symbol that would be like one number to through another like 1 through 14?
no, if something is between 1 and 14, then it is
if(answer %26lt; 14 %26amp;%26amp; answer %26gt; 1)
if it can be equal to 14 it's
if(answer %26lt;= 14 %26amp;%26amp; answer %26gt;= 1)
Reply:Try this
if(answer%26gt;=1 %26amp;%26amp; answer%26lt;=14)
if(answer=="1-14");

If you got a C on an advanced geometry math test, would you consider it bad?
As a freshman? Just a solid C, 75%.
If you got a C on an advanced geometry math test, would you consider it bad?
not bad bad, but it could be better! but dont beat yourself up over it!

Reply:You're okay. I'm a freshman in geometry and I got a B- on my test... surprisingly one of the highest scores in the class. Most of my friends got about a C.
Reply:I would because you're in an advanced geometry class and you are expected to score higher on the tests.
Reply:its not bad but its not good...u couldve failed but u passed. dont cram, study everyday and strive to get a higher grade. set goals for yourself...it will get better. if u have to teach it to yourself then do that, try to improve your gpa.GOOD LUCK, DONT STRESS!!! BE CONFIDENT ABOUT IT...
Reply:That kind of depends on what you want to do with your life.If you want to be a mathematician, then it`s bad. If you want to be a writer, then it`s OK. Just make sure you pass, you don`t want to repeat.
Reply:For me, anything short of 100% is a disaster. But I am good at mathematics.
Reply:C's get degrees!
Reply:No. That class is hard. I took it when I was a freshman. Don't listen to Kimberly T.
Reply:no...but i think its ok to get a C in and Algebra 1 class...goood luck with geometry!!!
Reply:well I think that u should learn from your mistakes and try to do better on the next test. and if it is bad or not depends on you. also dont listen to that harry potter guy u are not stupid.
Reply:YES..in my school, no matter what course your in, you HAVE to get an 80 or more at the end of the year. NO EXCUSES exept IEP's
if its only one test, you'll prolly be able to make it up. but if thats your final grade, omgwtf?
Reply:I couldn't even pass regular geometry so I'd be thrilled with the C!! lol
Reply:No, nothing wrong with that. I hate math and I liked getting C's. I didn't want D's, but I knew A's %26amp; B's weren't going to happen.

A C would be a miracle for me!!!!
So it is amazing for you!!!!
Reply:C is bad---always aim for A, and never settle for less than B

Is there some one who can help me with some complex math Expressions in 'C' programming.(details given below)
please explain how the compiler calculates the following expressions and which variable get what value
1...assume x=1 i=2 j=3 k=4
x-=k*=j/=i%=5; (please explain how this works)
2... x=5 i=4 j=3 k=2
x*=1 + (i%= 1+(j/=-1+ ++k)
3....i=j=10;
i%=j=(j=5)%(i=3);
thanks
Is there some one who can help me with some complex math Expressions in 'C' programming.(details given below)
in C the evaluation for an expression goes like this:
Evaluate the right part of expression and then the left one
and i=5 returns 5
so:
1. x-=k*=j/=i%=5;
- i%=5 -%26gt; 2 and i=2
- j/=i%=5 -%26gt; j/=2 -%26gt; 1 and j = 1
- k*=j/=i%=5 -%26gt; k*= 1 -%26gt; 4
- x-=k*=j/=i%=5 -%26gt; x-=4 -%26gt; -3 and x= -3
2.x*=1 + (i%= 1+(j/=-1+ ++k)
- ++k - %26gt; 3 and k=3
- j/=-1+ ++k -%26gt; j/=-1 + 3 -%26gt; j/= 2 -%26gt; 1
-... i%= 1+(j/=-1+ ++k) -%26gt; 0
- x*=1 + (i%= 1+(j/=-1+ ++k)) -%26gt; x*= 1+0
- x = 5
3.i%=j=(j=5)%(i=3)
- i=3 -%26gt; 3 and i become 3
- j=5 -%26gt; same
- (j=5)%(i=3) 0 -%26gt; 2
- j=(j=5)%(i=3) -%26gt; j=2 -%26gt; 2 and j become 2
- i%=j=(j=5)%(i=3) -%26gt; i%= 2 -%26gt; i = 3 % 2 = 1
Reply:1...assume x=1 i=2 j=3 k=4
x-=k*=j/=i%=5;
Let's split this up, it's a simple set of operators:
"X-=" x minus equals: This means subtract a value from X. Example is X-=5: This means subtract 5 from whatever the value of X is.
"K*=" K multiplied equals - as above, only with multiplication.
"J/=" J F-Slash equals - As above only with division
"i%=" I Percent Equals - Modulus. Show the remainder after a division. Example 10%3=1 (keep removing a value until a lesser value is left)
2
You can use the same as previous - there's a new symbol here though:
"++" - Increment by 1. If the "++" is before a variable, we PREINCREMENT, otherwise we POSTINCREMENT, this determines the time to increment based on other operations.
3
There's nothing new here.
Take all of these apart using this explanation, and you should have no problems. There's also a website:
http://www.cplusplus.com
for help.
Run it through a compiler yourself, and use printf or cout statements to display variable values, it's an important part of programming to do this "lazy" debugging.
2... x=5 i=4 j=3 k=2
x*=1 + (i%= 1+(j/=-1+ ++k)
3....i=j=10;
i%=j=(j=5)%(i=3);

What engineering universities in canada can i get in with B-math B-chem C-physics?
Hi. You might want to try a 'search by program' on the Study in Canada website (URL below) and look at the admissions requirements for the schools that interest you. I doubt that you'll have much trouble finding your perfect school even with that C in physics.
Just a note....the 'Study in Canada' website has been experiencing some technical difficulties this week. If you have problems, there are also some 'Canadian School Search Options' on the "Finding Your School" page on the U.S. Students to Canada website (URL also listed below). It doesn't matter what country you're from ... the search suggestions and some of their tips and guides are good resources for students from both sides of the border. Good luck!
