Should i write a note to my dad or tell him about my C in Math?

I have a C in math and I am in sixth grade. I got two B's on my last 2 quizes. Which will lead it to a B-B+ But how do i tell him. I am in Jazz band and I might quit till my grades get better. So should i tell my dad or write him a note saying I quit Jazz band and how i got 2 b's and it will lead it up to a B? or should i tell him? My dad and Mother are really Strict about my grades. So i dont know what i should do. Please help me!

Should i write a note to my dad or tell him about my C in Math?
i think you should just talk about it with them, when i told my parents about my D in Physics they didnt flip like i though they would and that was because i explained the reason for my grade. if you just try harder you can still be in Jazz band, im in choir and i still manage
Reply:You will most likely be better off if you tell them in person.
Reply:tell the truth and tell them u will do better and dont quit band since tat can get u into a good college
Reply:I feel so sorry for you. You sound like your father is not from here, because a C is passing, but... it is not what he wants to see.

Remember if you do fail, you have to face the consequences and this is for ever through life, so you might as well start being able to face and handle it now, therefore,

No notes....Face to face is better even though you might get yelled at.

Are you able to go to "after class tutoring" with your math teacher? Dad might be able to pay for priviate toutoring if you tell him you need the help. My heart goes out to you, so sorry.
Reply:actually, i was in the same position like 10 years ago...i waited for my parents to come home and started bawling so hard they felt bad and didn't yell at me....then i asked them to get me a tutor...cuz otherwise i was going to fail the class....

needless to say, they didn't even yell at me, they got me the tutor, and here i am ten years later...a mechanical engineer!!!
Reply:run away, form a jazz band, become famous
