Can a C average math student be a successful civil engineer?

I'm curently a civil engineer student. Last semester I earned a 78 percent average for a final grade in trig. I earned this grade by barely studying for any of the tests. I really want to be an engineer, but I'm afraid that I wont be a successful one in the future. Is there anyone that is a successful engineer with a C average in math? How much math is going to be used in my career? If so, what other field of engineering will require less math?

im a civil engineering student and i got 80% in maths in school, without much studying. i got through the 1st year of civil with out much of a problem regarding maths, but you will need to do lots of study to pass! and pretty much every subject contains some sort of maths, so your life will revolve around formulas if u want to be a civil engineer, but its not that hard.
Reply:You say you really want to be an engineer, but also said you aren't putting much effort into it.........by not studying and getting a 78. Which is it? If you can "not" study and still be "average"......if you really want to be an enginner, put some more effort into it so you don't have to worry about your grades. You have to decide if you really want this, and if you do.........put some effort into it.
