Anyone heard about u.c.math programs ?do they really work for kids?

Yes dears it's a very good way to support our kids cerebration

by increase their math skills and join this skills with hearing sense , seeing sense and thinking sense .

latest many of kids in Egypt Had this programs and the organize say that kids was a normal kids before educate and tested and now they become more improvisation in each field .

DIfference between Colloge math and U/C math?

College level math, prepares you for college math programs in grade 12, and when you get into college programs.

University/College Math, prepares you for some University math in Grade 12 and the college math in grade 12. I think the only grade 12 U level math you can take with grade 11 U/C math is Mathematics of Data Management. That's the math I took.

If you were recommended for it, then the difference shouldn't be too hard to handle (or else you wouldn't have been recommended for it).

University math moves at a faster pace that college math (known as community colleges).

Community college is designed for a wide range of students, from the really smart to the not so smart. They don't have as many requirements to be accepted. Classes are easier because they have students who don't know as much.

Universities have a higher level for acceptance, so the classes are a little harder. The range is not as wide.

Not everyone can go to a university; however, anyone can go to a community college.

Maybe you could look at the book before you make your decision.

Help!!! E.C math stuff!!!?

I need help with my homework!!! Okay, here goes.

You must come up with a word or words(that go together. Ex. weed eater, blow dryer, etc) but the word(s) must add up to exactly 99.

A=1

B=2

C=3

D=4

E=5

F=6

G=7

H=8

ETC. all the way to Z=26

Please help me??? I'm really *frustrated because I keep on coming close(97, 98) but I can't come up with one!!!

Should i write a note to my dad or tell him about my C in Math?

I have a C in math and I am in sixth grade. I got two B's on my last 2 quizes. Which will lead it to a B-B+ But how do i tell him. I am in Jazz band and I might quit till my grades get better. So should i tell my dad or write him a note saying I quit Jazz band and how i got 2 b's and it will lead it up to a B? or should i tell him? My dad and Mother are really Strict about my grades. So i dont know what i should do. Please help me!

Should i write a note to my dad or tell him about my C in Math?
i think you should just talk about it with them, when i told my parents about my D in Physics they didnt flip like i though they would and that was because i explained the reason for my grade. if you just try harder you can still be in Jazz band, im in choir and i still manage
Reply:You will most likely be better off if you tell them in person.
Reply:tell the truth and tell them u will do better and dont quit band since tat can get u into a good college
Reply:I feel so sorry for you. You sound like your father is not from here, because a C is passing, but... it is not what he wants to see.

Remember if you do fail, you have to face the consequences and this is for ever through life, so you might as well start being able to face and handle it now, therefore,

No notes....Face to face is better even though you might get yelled at.

Are you able to go to "after class tutoring" with your math teacher? Dad might be able to pay for priviate toutoring if you tell him you need the help. My heart goes out to you, so sorry.
Reply:actually, i was in the same position like 10 years ago...i waited for my parents to come home and started bawling so hard they felt bad and didn't yell at me....then i asked them to get me a tutor...cuz otherwise i was going to fail the class....

needless to say, they didn't even yell at me, they got me the tutor, and here i am ten years later...a mechanical engineer!!!
Reply:run away, form a jazz band, become famous

Can a C average math student be a successful civil engineer?

I'm curently a civil engineer student. Last semester I earned a 78 percent average for a final grade in trig. I earned this grade by barely studying for any of the tests. I really want to be an engineer, but I'm afraid that I wont be a successful one in the future. Is there anyone that is a successful engineer with a C average in math? How much math is going to be used in my career? If so, what other field of engineering will require less math?

Can a C average math student be a successful civil engineer?
im a civil engineering student and i got 80% in maths in school, without much studying. i got through the 1st year of civil with out much of a problem regarding maths, but you will need to do lots of study to pass! and pretty much every subject contains some sort of maths, so your life will revolve around formulas if u want to be a civil engineer, but its not that hard.
Reply:You say you really want to be an engineer, but also said you aren't putting much effort into it.........by not studying and getting a 78. Which is it? If you can "not" study and still be "average"......if you really want to be an enginner, put some more effort into it so you don't have to worry about your grades. You have to decide if you really want this, and if you do.........put some effort into it.

C in math................?

Im in this thing called the "IB" program in high school. Its real rigorous and its basically the hardest program a high schooler can take. Well I skipped fifth grade because of math, and have always done well in math. This year Im taking IB Higher LEvel Math (Cal Ab, BC, and 3) and its the hardest a highschooler can take. About 3 weeks into the marking period, I was stressing about all the work involved. It was hard and required lots of work. I told my parents I wanted to switch out becuase I wanted to be a psychology major and i really didn't need the stress that came with Higher Level math. They said No. Well now I have a C and i didn't stay after school for math help or study for 4 hours a day or anything,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I just feel that I warned them it was hard and I have huge papers and projects and stuff due all the time. The class average is I think 57. Do you think they would understand...???

C in math................?
thats hard maybe u should drop down a level

C math quiz program Help?

Hello, I'm learning to Program in C and I have to create a math quiz. The user is supposed to enter the amount of questions they want to answer. I'm trying to get a Random number generator to produce two random numbers and then a random sign (+ - * /) so basically it looks like this (Ex. 4+4 = ) Then the user inputs the answer and it goes on to the next question till the person answered all of them. Then I wanted a text file that containted all the questions and answers..

Here is what I have so far... which is reall slim..any ideas??

y = num();

z = sign();

printf(" %d %s %d =", x,y,z);

return 0;

}

C math quiz program Help?
I won't attempt do the whole program for you as its quite involved, I will get you to the point of getting the formulas and random numbers working and hopefully you'll work out the rest.

According to the documentation: The rand function returns a pseudorandom integer in the range 0 to RAND_MAX. Use the srand function to seed the pseudorandom-number generator before calling rand, as you can see I do in the main() function.

The code below accepts the amount of questions you want and spits out random maths questions and their answer.

To get your version working you need to ask the user to answer each question as they are asked, read the value they type (hint use scanf) and store the value in a text file along with the answer for comparison. Read about File Pointers, fopen(), fprintf(), fclose() etc. It shouldnt be too hard to get it working how you want it.

#include%26lt;stdio.h%26gt;

#include%26lt;time.h%26gt; // we are using time()

int num(void)

{

int num = (rand()%100+1);

// uncomment this line to see the randon number generated

//printf("num=%d\n", num);

return (num);

}

char sign(void)

{

int sign = rand()%5 + 1;

// uncomment this line to see the randon number generated

//printf ("sign=%d\n", sign);

// convert that randon number into a sign character

// the code below should be rewritten as a

// switch() statement with a return (char) at the end

// but it works as is.

if (sign == 1)

return '+';

if (sign == 2)

return '-';

if (sign == 3)

return '*';

if (sign == 4)

return '/';

if (sign == 5)

return '%';

}

void main(void)

{

float answer=0;

int x=0;

int y=0;

char z;

int NumberOfQuestions=0;

int Loop=0;

/*

* Seed the random-number generator with the

* current time so that the numbers will be

* different every time we run.

*/

srand( (unsigned)time(NULL) );

printf ("How many questions do you wish to answer?\n");

scanf("%d", %26amp;NumberOfQuestions);

for (Loop=1; Loop%26lt;=NumberOfQuestions; Loop++)

{

x = num();

y = num();

z = sign();

if (z == '+')

{

answer = (float)x + (float)y;

}

else if (z == '-')

{

answer = (float)x - (float)y;

}

else if (z == '*')

{

answer = (float)x * (float)y;

}

else if (z == '/')

{

answer = (float)x / (float)y;

}

else if (z == '%')

{

answer = (float)(x % y);

}

printf("Question %02d: %d %c %d = %.2f\n\n",

Loop,x,z,y, answer);

}

}
Reply:You are on the right track. Ditch your num() function and just call randomNumbers() directly.

To compute your answer you are going to have to know which operator you selected, or you can compute your answer at the same time as you select your operator. Something like this will return the character, and the answer all at the same time:

char *pick_oper( int a, int b, int *result )

{

switch( rand() % 4 )

{

case 0: *result = a + b; return "+";

case 1: *result = a - b; return "-";

case 2: * result = a / b; return "/";

default: * result = a * b; return "*";

}

}

Using a function like this saves you from computing the operator, and then having to use another switch statement to compute the answer.

You also need to consider converting your answer to double so that the result of a division problem can be properly represented.

Your printf that prints your equasion will likely bomb because you specify %s for the sign, but you have declared it as a character. You need to return a string from your character selection function and declare 'z' to be char *z.

C math quiz program Help?
Hmm... I see a couple of problems right off the bat.

1. Your randomNumbers() function is not returning anything. You need to return the value (i.e. return rand() % 100 + 1;)

2. There is no need for the num() function.

3. You can also use "case" statements instead of the multiple if statements in randomSign()

4. You call a function called equation() from within the sign() function, but I don't see an equation() function defined anywhere.

5. Maybe you should do this to assign values

x = randomNumbers()

y = randomNumbers()

z = randomSign()

and get rid of num() and sign().

Just some suggestions.... Good Luck! :)
